Our company structure

Fidelity International was established in Bermuda as a privately-owned company in 1969 and provides asset management services to investors across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, FIL also manages non-US assets on behalf of US investors.
 
Our US affiliate, FMR LLC, was founded in Boston in 1946 and is one of the US’s largest mutual fund companies. FIL maintains close links with FMR LLC. and the two companies draw on each other’s extensive research capabilities, giving our portfolio managers access to detailed, up-to-date analysis on companies that make up 95% of global market capitalisation.
 
FIL is currently jointly owned by the founding Johnson family, and by staff through share ownership.
