Regional Equity Solutions

Clients looking to invest outside the UK can choose from a broad range of funds. They benefit from Fidelity’s global research resources and the stockpicking skills of our investment management teams across the world. As well as our core disciplines, clients can access a number of higher alpha solutions with greater potential for out-performance.

The Pan European Fund combines individual equity managers from our European equity team, aiming to produce a consistent level of out-performance. The America Fund follows the same approach, combining managers from our US equity team.
 
Clients who would prefer single manager approach can choose from a wide range of regional equity funds.
 
The Europe(ex-UK) Fund and the Japan Fund both benefit from our successful active, bottom-up equity process. The Pacific (ex Japan) Fund follows the same process and invests in the shares of companies in the four developed markets in the region (Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore), while the South East Asia Fund has a broader investment remit.  The Emerging Markets Fund invests primarily in companies of countries experiencing rapid economic growth. 
 
For clients seeking a risk-controlled solution, Fidelity’s Select discipline could be an interesting option. It combines an active approach with quantitative tools to manage portfolio risk. The aim is to minimise undesired sources of risk against the benchmark while maintaining a stable level of tracking error. The resulting fund - the Select European Equities Fund - which invests in UK and European stocks - has a low risk profile.
